WE SHOULD PRAY TO "OUR FATHER" MAT 6:9 "This, then, is how you should pray; "`Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY IN JESUS NAME

JOHN 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL

(1John 5:14-15 NIV) 14) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (15) And if we know that he hears us - whatever we ask - we know that we have what we asked of him.

WE SHOULD PRAY BELIEVING THAT WE WILL RECEIVE. PRAY WITH FAITH.

MAT 21:22 "And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (NKJ)

WE SHOULD PRAY [BELIEVING] FOR THE MIRACULOUS

MAR 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY WITH RIGHT HEART ATTITUDES AND MOTIVES

a) NO UNFORGIVENESS; NO ANGER OR BITTERNESS OR HATRED; IN OUR HEARTS.

MAT 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (NIV)
b) NO ANGER AND NO DISUNITY-DISENTION 1 Tim 2:8 (NIV) I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.

WE SHOULD PRAY TO BE SEEN OF GOD NOT MAN. {PRAYER IS TO BE DIRECTED TO GOD NOT MAN}. MAT 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY PERSISTENTLY MAT 7:7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. (NIV) NOTE: This kind of asking and knocking and seeking is one that means to continue to ask and seek and knock until you obtain what you are looking for. LUK 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY OFTEN [HAVING A PRAYER HABIT] EPH 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (NIV)

WE SHOULD PRAY FOR GOVERNMENTS AND ALL THOSE IN AUTHORITY. (1Timothy 2:1-3 NIV) I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - (2) for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (3) This is good, and pleases God our Saviour,

WE SHOULD PRAY FOR THE SALVATION OF THOSE WHO ARE STILL IN DARKNESS REGARDING THE KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST. 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (NIV) 1 Tim 2:4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (NIV) 1Thes 2:16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last. (NIV) Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. (NIV)

HIS WILL IS ALL NATIONS TO BE SAVED AND JUSTIFIED Rev 15:4 (NIV) Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.
Rev 7:9 (NKJ) After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Gal 3:8 (NIV) The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham All nations will be blessed through you

HIS WILL IS FOR ALL THE NATIONS TO COME TO OBEDIENCE TO HIM

HIS WILL IS FOR THE NATIONS TO HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM Rom 16:25-27 (NIV) 25 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him-- 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! HIS WILL IS TO CALL PEOPLE FROM THE NATIONS TO THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH Rom 1:5 (NIV) Through him and for his names sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.

HIS WILL IS NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN THOSE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE NO MATTER THEIR NATIONALITY Acts 15:7-9 (NIV) 7 After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: "Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. 8 God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. 9 He made no distinction between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. HIS WILL IS THAT HE WILL BE KNOWN THROUGHOUT ALL THE NATIONS Isa 11:9 (NIV) They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

PRAYER CAUSES THE FURTHERANCE OF THE GOSPEL IN MANY PLACES Phil 1:12 (KJV) But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; Phil 1:19 (NIV) for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

PRAYER ASSISTS THE PROMOTION OF OUR GODLY EFFORTS FOR GOD IN RESPECT TO THE PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL TO THE NATIONS. II Th 1:11 (NIV) With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

PRAYER HELPS THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL TO SPREAD ABROAD II Th 3:1 (NIV) Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honoured, just as it was with you.
